A professional training in the Feldenkrais Method® is an 800 hour program divided over a period of 4 years at the rate of 3 times a year during which trainees develop the skills and understanding to begin a professional Feldenkrais practice.
The training environment is safe, stimulating and noncompetitive, respecting each student's learning pace and progress rate.
The process is organic rather than academic; motor development and the functional possibilities of the human body are learned from the inside out, through your own experience and explorations.
Primarily a practical training, our programs will positively lead to a fuller realization of yourself by developing your self-image and expanding your potential for skillful action, learning ability, awareness and self-confidence.

Application
Enrollment is still open for our SEFT IV training program. Individuals wishing to apply to the Seattle Eastside Feldenkrais® Training should download the complete application (PDF | DOC). You could also contact us and request that a hard copy of our latest brochure and application be mailed to you. SEFT IV Year 1 "Make Up" Sessions
Enrollment for our SEFT IV Training program is open until September 10th, 2012. Students who join us at a late date will need to make up the Training Days that were missed from Year One. For their convenience, ExplorAction will present 3 MAKE UP SESSIONS, each session covering the material corresponding to the three SEFT IV Segments of Year One, and is equivavent to the entire first year of a Feldenkrais Training.
It is not a prerequisite to enroll in these MAKE UPs to join SEFT IV, however student will need to make up missed time within a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Training presenting equivalent material (approved by SEFT Educational Directors) within 7 years of starting date in order to graduate. ExplorAction's MAKE UP SESSIONS can be credited towards the first year of any Guild Accredited Feldenkrais Professional Training Programs.MAKE UP 1 is equivalent to SEFT IV Segment 1 and covers Day 1 to 15 of a Guild Accredited Feldenkrais Training Program. "I've had pain all my life and as I approached 60, I could no longer keep up with myself as it got worse. My vitality and fire was beginning to snuff out and I saw myself getting "crotchety." Then I found myself running here and there to doctors and alternative methodologies taking pills and doing exercises and stretching (which caused me more pain). Everyone was an expert but no one showed me how to manage my own life.
It wasn't until I discovered Feldenkrais® that I knew I was on the "intelligent" path. Thru the facilitation of Angel, this work taught me how to use my brain the way it was meant to be used, how to be aware, bring intention into action and learn how to learn.
Up until then, I let people tell me what to do, now I am in charge of my own life and I foresee my golden years as becoming more self reliant and active.
Even if I don't wish to be a practitioner, I plan on taking the 4 year training because I deserve the best. I am finally taking control of my future and giving myself a new lease on life!
